Commercial Tile Installation
Sacramento business interiors done on schedule, around your operating hours.
Commercial jobs run differently
A residential tile job has one household to work around. A commercial job has staff schedules, customer traffic, delivery windows, and sometimes fire code requirements for non-slip ratings in specific areas. We account for all of that before the first tile goes down.
We work in lobbies, entry corridors, retail floors, restaurant kitchens and dining areas, office common areas, and commercial restrooms. The tile specifications for commercial use are different from residential — higher PEI (Porcelain Enamel Institute) hardness ratings for high-traffic areas, specific coefficient of friction for wet areas, large-format porcelain that holds up to wheeled traffic. We will tell you what rating your space actually needs, not just what looks good in a catalog.
How we approach commercial scheduling
Pre-job coordination
We confirm your operating hours and any blackout windows before we schedule. For retail and restaurant clients, evenings and weekends are often the only viable install windows. We accommodate that without a premium surcharge on standard jobs.
Phased installation
Large commercial floors are installed in sections, with each section cured and ready for traffic before the next one is cordoned off. We keep your space partially operational throughout. Barriers and signage go up before work starts and come down as sections clear.
Site-ready handoff
Commercial jobs end with a full debris removal, haze cleaning, and a walkthrough with you or your property manager before we close out. We do not leave material staging in your space overnight unless specifically agreed.
Materials we work with in commercial settings
Porcelain with a PEI rating of 4 or 5 for high-traffic floors. Epoxy grout for commercial kitchens and food service areas — it resists chemical cleaners that would break down standard grout. Large-format rectified tile for lobbies where grout line minimization creates a more polished appearance. Non-slip rated tile (COF 0.6 or higher) for commercial restrooms and entry vestibules where wet conditions are expected.
We also do commercial feature walls and reception desk surrounds using natural stone, large-format porcelain panels, or dimensional tile. These are not structural elements — they are finish work that runs alongside the floor installation.
Service areas for commercial work
We take commercial tile jobs in Tahoe Park, East Sacramento, and Oak Park. The Folsom Blvd corridor, the Broadway commercial strip, and the neighborhood retail pockets along Freeport Blvd in Oak Park are all areas we work regularly.
